Nicolas Ménard
L’intérêt de Nicolas Ménard pour les systèmes visuels est le point de départ de ses recherches créatives. Son langage graphique clair s’est transféré dans des courts métrages d’animation, des illustrations, des publicités et des livres d’artistes.
Diplômé de l’École de design UQAM de Montréal, du Royal College of Art de Londres, ses films ont récolté les honneurs des festivals du monde entier. Son dernier court métrage mercredi avec Goddard a remporté le prix du jury du meilleur court métrage d’animation au SXSW 2017 et lui a valu une place dans la vitrine des nouveaux réalisateurs de Saatchi & Saatchi.

Nicolas Ménard’s interest in visual systems is the starting point of his creative investigations. His clear graphic language has transferred to animated short films, illustrations, commercials, and artists’ books.
A graduate of École de design UQAM in Montreal, the Royal College of Art in London, his films have gathered honours from festivals around the world. His latest short Wednesday with Goddard won the Jury Award for Best Animated Short at SXSW 2017 and earned him a spot in the Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors’ Showcase.
Duo Tilby/Forbis
Wendy Tilby et Amanda Forbis se sont rencontrées au Emily Carr College of Art and Design à Vancouver où elles ont étudié le cinéma, la vidéo et l’animation.
Chacune a ensuite créé ses propres œuvres avec l’Office national du film du Canada (Strings et The Reluctant Deckhand) avant de coréaliser When the Day Breaks qui a reçu plus de 30 prix internationaux dont la Palme d’Or à Cannes, un prix Génie, un Nomination aux Oscar® et Grand Prix aux Festivals Internationaux d’Animation d’Annecy, Zagreb et Hiroshima. Wild Life, leur dernier court métrage avec l’ONF a remporté plusieurs prix et en 2012 a été nominé pour un Oscar.

Wendy Tilby and Amanda Forbis met at the Emily Carr College of Art and Design in Vancouver where they studied film, video and animation.
Each went on to create their own works with the National Film Board of Canada (Strings and The Reluctant Deckhand) before co-directing When the Day Breaks which received over 30 international awards including the Palme D’Or at Cannes, a Genie Award, an Oscar® nomination and the Grand Prix at Annecy, Zagreb and Hiroshima International Animation Festivals. Wild Life, their latest short with the NFB has won several prizes and in 2012 was nominated for an Academy Award.
